Site measurement
The site loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-K8T11BY4GS. GA4 can receive page views, referral information, approximate device and browser information, and events such as idea opens, seasonal views, calendar downloads, reminder enablement, checklist copies, privacy views and widget interactions.
GA4 may use cookies or online identifiers. Google processes this information as a provider under its own terms. The site does not send direct contact details or full party-plan content to GA4.
localStorage stays local
Your browser’s localStorage is used for small local features, including experimental scratchpad ideas, the seasonal reminder setting and any local preferences. Depending on the feature, localStorage may contain guest or contact names, RSVP status, dietary information, budget notes and access notes, including accessibility notes. These values are not sent to ideas.party by the local-storage feature and are not shared across browsers or devices.
You can clear site data in your browser settings. Clearing localStorage removes local scratchpad content and the saved reminder setting from that browser.
Only after an explicit action
The seasonal page uses the browser Notification API only after you choose Enable browser reminder. If permission is granted, the browser may show a local confirmation for the next planning window. The page stores the enabled setting in localStorage; it does not create a recurring alert or send a message, and no notification content is sent to ideas.party by this feature.
You can change or revoke Notification permission in your browser or operating-system settings. The reminder does not run until you explicitly choose it.
URL-hash data stays readable by the page
Some tools and share pages encode planning or response data in the URL hash so a browser can restore the view without storing a private database. A hash fragment is normally not included in the HTTP request path or query sent to a server, but page scripts can read it and anyone with the full URL can see it when it is copied or shared.
Response cards, RSVP entries and kit entries can be represented in URL hashes or import text. The response, RSVP and kit features do not send those cards or entries to ideas.party; a host may copy or share the text through a channel they choose.
Do not place sensitive personal information in a shared URL. If you use a browser share sheet or copy the link or response card into an email or messaging service, that service receives the shared content under its own privacy terms.
Iframe behavior
The partner widget is a public ideas.party page loaded in an iframe. It may read a small set of query parameters for the label, accent, occasion, result count and optional partner attribution URL. Those values are sanitized, no arbitrary HTML or scripts are accepted, and the widget does not collect direct contact details.
Widget interactions can send the non-personal GA4 events widget_view and widget_select when GA4 is configured. The partner’s surrounding page may have its own analytics and cookies; review those separately.
No sale or sharing
ideas.party does not sell personal information. It does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is used by California privacy law. Analytics providers may process their own service data under their own policies.
You can clear browser storage, change Notification permission, or use browser controls to limit tracking. Public pages do not require direct contact details to read content or use the party finder.
Privacy questions
No automated contact or data-request form is currently configured. For a privacy question, data request or correction, use an existing contact channel already provided by the site owner and include the page you were using. Do not send secrets, payment information or sensitive guest data by message.
